This year was Lebanon's 100th year of the infamous Strawberry Festival where they make and serve the worlds largest strawberry shortcake! We went with the Kessler family to the parade in the morning, down to the fair in the evening and ended with the fireworks that night. Since it was also the same day as the state's annual free fishing day with the fishing derby up at Green Peter, we decided to take all 7 kids fishing in-between the festivities.......HA, we'll never do that again! With 4 adults, 3 older kids needing help putting bait on, casting, etc, and 4 younger kids that we were trying to keep out of the lake......it was an interesting experience to say the least! The fireworks were pretty good and we had a very full but fun day!
